im engaged!!!

tony proposed to me monday evening, sep 21.

we are so so happy!!!

i dont have my ring back until oct 3 (tear)

but here is a pic!

bringing some CoLoR into the [picture].....

well, we finally gave in

white white walls were a bit too much && it had been such a stressful day

so we bought PAINT!!

but not just any paint...

COLOR!!!

we painted the fireplace room && the kitchen since they are pretty much connected.

i think it looks aMaZiNG!

doesnt that olive green just make the fireplace POP?!?

we decided not to do the whole room green bcuz it would definitely be much too dark, so we used a light brown that tony picked out. it looks fab :)

we also did the wall behind the cabinents green too.

sorry for the messy counters...

i am so happy that we have color!!

it makes the whole house feel like its actually coming together!

even tho the rest of the house looks ugly,

i can just walk to the fireplace room && know that someday it will all be put together!!

ps. i still got my style :)

that is the example of a beautiful new toilet!!
yes, we (mainly tony) installed a new toilet.

its so beautiful!
we werent going to get now toilets
but...
this morning i woke up && had to use the bathroom
when i was finished, i just happened to look at the ground
&& there was water [everywhere].
so we got a new one
with no leaks!!

the box said its white,

but it doesnt look that way....

im so happy for our new toilet!!
it is so clean!!
we are going to do the one in the master, but the flange thing is broke :(
guess we gotta talk to al tomorrow to see how to fix that
but at least we have 1 nice toilet!

HOORAH!!

ps. look what was waiting for me outside when i got home yesterday....

we are making PRoGReSS...

it has been such a BUSY week.

i have to work today && tomorrow, so that is why i am able to blog finally!!

our house needs so much work.

but we are taking baby steps.

&& first things first, we had to get rid of the [horrid] smell.

im not sure if the didnt have a vaccuum or just didnt know how to use one.

but the carpet was totally rank.

so naturally, that was the first to go...

since we are gonna have the city do an extra bulk trash pick up for us, we had to roll the carpet into 3 foot strips.

let me just say, cutting carpet is a lot of work...

after we got up the carpet, then we had to pull up the carpet pad.

that had to have been the most DiSguSTiNG thing i have ever done.

it smells so bad plus the dogs favorite potty spots just stuck to the floor.

i am happy its all done now :)

after the carpet pad is all up, then its time to tackle the tac strips.

let me tell you, those are the most scary things i have ever seen.

if you need a way to keep people from breaking in

just put those all around yer house.

after we got the carpet up, it was time to tackle the kitchen

we were working so hard, i didnt get any pics

but i just want everyone to know that it is [SO IMPORTANT] to simply wipe down yer cabinents.

our cabinents looked almost black && after hours of scrubbing && scraping

they are a nice medium brown color.

they were caked in greese && grime

they were so sticky

its so yucky

we ended up just buying new hardware for the cabinents and drawers because the old handles were so gross

all in all

i am proud of our cabinents now :)

after the cabinents, we had to rip up the vinal...

for those of you who dont know what vinal is (laura)

it has another name too

i dont know how to spell it but it starts with an l...

its pronounced la-no-le-um

:)

anyways, that is the hardest thing to get up

&& after hours of scraping

&& chemical burns

we decided to work on something else...

like....

PAINTING!!

we have to paint the whole house

we were going to use a roller to paint the entire house

but after doing half of the first room, we decided that that was going to take much to long.

so we got a paint sprayer.

to say the least, they make a huge mess!

which is my middle name :)

this is tony after painting the 3 bedrooms && the hallway.

he doesnt like pics or the fact that he was covered in paint

but he let me take a pic of him :)

but that didnt last for too long. he stopped being coopperative very fast...

but im good at convincing him...
or im just annoying so he gives in :)
but here is the only good pic of us...
even tho we are covered in paint
&& i look like i have grey hair!
(brings back memories of 5th grade when i had to dress up as zachary taylor for the wax museum.)

so, we have to work tonight && tomorrow, but then we will head back to the house to finish painting
&& start moving in :)

so....i have been THiNKiNG a lot [lately]

omgsh. life has been craaaaazy lately. so much is happening.

lets see....

*tony and i are moving into our house

*laura is going away to college :(

*i saw jessica and kiersten for the first time in [forever].

*major changes are happening at work

*school is....uhm....i dont even know....[stressful].

so ya! tony and i are finally moving out of his moms house!!! you cannot even IMAGINE how excited i/we are excited for that.

no more having to listen to kris/crystal/tyrone fighting

no more having to live in a single bedroom

no more having to leave at exactly 1:17 for work

no more having to rush to get ready for work due to excessive not-so-nice smell escaping from the bathroom

we can finally just not have to deal with the overall stupidity of the others

i know that there is going to be a lot more stress once we move

with dumb bills, interior decorating decisions, other decisions...just everything.

but the more i think about everything

the more i am ready to take on this challange

&& prove to a certain person (tyler aka he-who-must-not-be-named) that he is wrong.

next on the list is [laura]. i seriously love this girl

what can i say. she is my best friend :)

i am sooooo sad that we didnt really become close until she called me an idiot for moving in with tony so quickly :)
but im glad she did. cuz now we are besties :)
i seriously dont know what im gonna do without he when she leaves. this sat is her last day at work :(
who am i going to do trash with?!?
who am i going to annoy ppl with?!?
who am i gonna make fudge cookies for?!?
who am i gonna tell all my secrets to?!?
who is gonna help me get the dishwasher by purposly leaving all of her dishes in it when everyone else wants it?!?
i know im gonna be able to still txt her && talk to her.

oh how i loveeee these girls.
i havent seen them in soooooooo long. since i moved out to be exact.
i have missed them so much by the way.
i have just been too scared to call over there && have the dreaded sue answer.
some of the activities we did were watch movies (confessions of a shopaholic, obsessed, what happens in vegas), staying up till 2 or 3 am, roasting starbursts, and making smores, && our pow-wows.
i cant wait until they get older && can start driving && come visit me.
i love them oh so much!

work is ridiculous.
that is all.
i would try to explain everything, but target lingo can be confusing.
&& i dont really like thinking about that mess on my days off.
so i will let you all wonder :)

i dont even know what i wanna do with school now.
life is just so busy && everything is too expensive
all i really know right now is that i wanna go to dental hygiene school
&& get out of target
hopefully i can take this year off && start saving && get stable in the house.
then i can start next fall.

something must me [seriously] wrong...

today i treated myself to a outfit.

it has been quite a while since i have been able to afford clothes.

moving is [expensive].

here is the part that makes me proud....

i bought skinny jeans!!

i never thought the day would come that i would be able to wear jeans that were not flared at the bottom.

here is the catch.

i hate tight jeans.

so they are kinda loose.

so they dont really look like skinny jeans.

but thats not the point :)

i also got a new belt because the last belt i bought was lie 3 years ago.

it is so cute.

the buckle is no more than a peace sign!!!

what more could i need?!?

i am set for life.

so i just wanted to let everyone know--mom

that i may have "my style"

but i will catch on eventually :)
